LeAnn Rimes has gone from country music star to footwear fairy godmother.
Thanks to Twitter, Rimes donated some of her vast shoe collection to single-mom and twitter follower, Peggy Joyce, according to People Stylewatch.
It happened last Wednesday as the Grammy winner was tweeting and sharing images from a recent bout of spring cleaning.
"3 SOLID hours of closet organization,Save on asics shoes and apparel at the world's largest running store." Rimes tweeted. "Everyone has a vice ...It's quite often the fact that shoe makers like Sheepskin boot will introduce the model one year and discontinue it just six months later. mine are shoes and handbags :)"
Peggy Joyce fatefully responded, "Anything U want to donate to me? From OH and lost job and have a 16 month old. Bad year…I will pay for shipping. Thanks!! XO"
And soon enough, Rimes and Joyce had begun to tweet back and forth with Rimes asking for the single mother's shoe size.
By Friday, the country star had a shoe-filled package ready for shipping.
"It will be on it's way soon. I have a few pair of flip flops for the summer and tennis shoes in your size....hope it helps," Rimes tweeted.
"To help a STRANGER really says something...Each air max 2010 is an upgrade on the other, but the main thing that women will be getting a comfortable and high performance ridethank you again!!" Joyce tweeted gratefully. "When I get items I will pay it forward somehow to someone in need."
